In this highly visible leadership role, you will be accountable for managing a team of market analysts to provide sales market analysis throughout the Optum Growth organization and across the Optum businesses. You will serve as a liaison into Growth Operations for the Growth leadership team to help enable and drive sales growth. You will work closely with functional leaders from across the Optum organization including Growth, Finance, Business, Data/Reporting, Systems, and Proposal Services.

You will lead a team responsible for the daily support of the sales function to minimize the administrative work of producers. Responsibilities include analyzing and reporting sales data, communicating changes to sales plans, providing knowledge about customers and competitors, communicating pricing data, and managing the operational logistics of sales meetings and activities. Works closely with sales and other functional leaders to develop and maintain the operational infrastructure supporting sales recruiting, goal setting, training and onboarding, troubleshooting order processing issues and producer requests, and sales-related information systems and procedures.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Engage Growth Market Leaders and Business Leaders across Optum to inform growth strategy to enable and drive sales growth using analytics

Serve as a thought leader, mentor and advocate for best practices concerning growth analytics and reporting

Leading creative approaches to problem solving, as well as the development of quality deliverables with critical Business Intelligence capabilities that enable efficient operations, intelligent decision making and targeted business growth strategies

Proactively develop and maintain a pipeline of multiple and concurrent reporting and analytical projects

Leveraging enterprise resources, including customer and sales data warehouses and the Data/Reporting teams, to ensure high quality deliverables

Driving standardization and simplification of business intelligence solutions

Respond to change and lead multiple projects simultaneously with minimal direction

Manage related budgets, drive cost control measures, seek out efficiencies, and improve capabilities in support of Optum business activities

Manage and optimize sales analysts’ workload to best serve primarily the Growth

Market Leaders and subsequently the Business Leaders

Bachelor's degree required

8 + years of experience defining, developing, and delivering strategic, data-driven reporting and analytical solutions to help drive business growth required

4+ years of experience managing others required

Proven expertise with reporting, analytical and data strategies within in a large, matrixed organization

Consultative skills, evidenced by the ability to influence C-Level business and

Growth leaders

Ability to present and explain information in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others, and promotes understanding and consensus building

Ability to lead, influence and motivate others, evidenced by successful leadership of cross-disciplinary, virtual teams in a collaborative fashion

Strong leadership abilities, including an assertive (yet diplomatic) personality, a great attitude and ability to lead people effectively through change

Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills
