Manager, Strategic Marketing & Communication

Job Responsibilities

As a Manager of Marketing, you will work closely with customers, manufacturers, and industry personnel to develop and implement forward thinking marketing campaigns to drive awareness, increase market share, directly impact sales, and grow revenue. This role is also responsible for crafting our approach and commitment to customer success and our customer intimacy initiative.

Your specific duties as a Marketing and Communication Manager will include:
  • Lead a team of Marketing and communication professionals to drive the Force 3 brand in Federal
  • Establish and be accountable for metrics for the marketing campaigns to measure and drive desired results. Continually measure and evaluate marketing campaigns and use learnings to optimize programs on an ongoing basis
  • Work collaboratively with Business Development, Sales, Partner Alliance and engineering counterparts and manufacturers to build a solid understanding of the marketplace for our solutions and products and strategically position marketing messaging to grow market share
  • Build relationships with vendor marketing representatives to develop co-marketing campaigns and to drive Force 3 agenda with our vendors.
  • Oversee marketing communications including branding, public relations, advertising, white papers, trade shows, seminars and events collateral materials, and website design and content either directly or on an outsourced basis
  • Manage external vendors such as PR, Ad Agencies, external website management teams etc. to clearly articulate and drive Force 3 message through these channels.
  • Drive the Force 3 Customer Advisory Board, its participants, topics and agendas to establish an effective channel for our customers to provide direct feedback on our performance.
  • Extract captured data from Salesforce.com to evaluate, adjust, and report on the effectiveness of individual marketing campaigns. Using strong business acumen and knowledge of the markets to determine and generate positive measurable impact
  • Develop and execute overall communication strategy including Social media and other digital outlets. Collaborate on promotional campaigns delivered by social media, advertising, co-op relationships, public relations, communications and web presence. Understanding and anticipating market and business trends to develop programs and projects to enhance success across all target markets.

Job Requirements

Specific qualifications for the Manager, Strategic Marketing and Communication position include:
  • 7-10 years of experience in a Strategic marketing leadership role (B2C and/or B2B) marketing experience in a technology company or a technology reseller. Strong
  • Public Sector Marketing experience is desired.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities including experience with developing and leading a team of marketing and communication professionals
  • Strong skills in quantifying effectiveness of marketing campaigns; defining and measuring key campaign metrics and ROI.
  • Ability to effectively manage and nurture relationships with key partners and customers
  • Ability to present and defend marketing recommendations as well as share campaign results and learnings to executive management and partners.
  • Strong project and budget management skills. Ability to manage and appropriately prioritize multiple projects from several different stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinking skills necessary to develop and implement long-term strategies
  • Ability to function well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities.
  • Problem analysis and resolution skills at the strategic and functional level
  • Ability to build strong working relationships across all levels of the organization, both inside and outside the organization
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills; presentation, customer service, business, and negotiation skills.
  • Computer proficiency, including experience with social media, web portals and other digital outlets.
  • Willingness and ability to travel
  • US Citizenship required. Ability to pass a background investigation.
