Yahoo!’s CIO organization is responsible for developing and maintaining an integrated, scalable IT infrastructure and applications that directly enable employee productivity, operational efficiencies and better management insights. The CIO organization is strategically aligned, with business partners across Yahoo! including Finance, HR, Customer Care, Engineering, Products and other G&A groups to deliver application enabled business process solutions and management reporting platforms.

As a part of the CIO organization, Corporate Applications team partners with business stakeholders to design, implement and support all corporate applications enabling key business processes along with employee productivity systems and collaboration tools.

Job Description

Working within the Corporate Applications organization, Director of Workforce Management Systems will be responsible for implementing and supporting technology solutions enabling Core Workforce Management and Compensation business processes. The primary focus for this position will be implementing, supporting, optimizing and driving adoption of Yahoo!’s next generation Core HRMS. The position will manage business system analysts and technical support team members globally and will partner closely with relevant HR business process owners, application developers and vendors.

Responsibilities:
Work with HR business process owners and relevant G&A stakeholders to translate business requirements to technology solutions related to workforce management and compensation planning systems

Full accountability of end to end Core HRMS solution including business processes, security, reporting and integrations

Responsible for supporting and optimizing Workday Core HR platform. Partners with relevant HR Business Process Owners to prioritize and implement enhancements. Ensures Service Level Agreements with relevant stakeholders.

Defines and implements ongoing Workday release management model-

Defines support strategy and operational model

Primary day to day point of contact for vendor interactions and issues resolution

Responsible for managing support and enhancement of Yahoo! Rewards platform

Partners with HR and leads technical software assessment/selection

Responsible for technical project management, acting as a Technical Lead on a project, as needed

Drives quality assurance and system integration testing

Ensures adherence to change control guidelines

Provides relevant systems training to HR business process owners

Partners with operations, security and infrastructure teams to ensure adherence to Yahoo! standards

Responsible for implementing new technologies and systems

Coaches, mentors team members and follows Yahoo! people management processes

Requirements

Minimum Job Qualifications:
Prior experience with major HRMS applications including Oracle, PeopleSoft, Workday, Lawson

Prior experience with compensation planning tools

Prior technical experience in HR systems design, development, integrations and deployment

Solid understanding of database architecture, web architecture, integration methods and SDLC

Knowledge of HR Technology market space and trends

Proven track record selecting and implementing large scale HRMS systems

Domain expertise and functional knowledge in workforce management, compensation, global mobility, restructuring, immigration and benefits

Prior project management experience

Excellent verbal and written communications skills including ability to present to all levels of the organization

Ability to work across functional and geographical boundaries and influence without formal authority

Ability to work well with others and build and maintain productive internal and external relationships

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously as well as manage operational responsibilities

Prior experience working with global, multi-cultural and virtual teams

Ability to work in a fast paced environment

Ability to embrace and manage change

Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Preferable Job Qualifications:
10+ years experience in HR Technology roles including systems analysis, software development, implementation and technical project management

5+ years leading large scale global projects

5+ years experience managing team

Workday experience

Experience with other workforce management solutions including payroll, equity and time

Knowledge of Agile Software Development Methodology

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/MIS/HR/Business Administration or related discipline

Relevant certifications in MIS, project management, business analysis or other related discipline

Experience in software or internet service industry
