Primary Responsibilities The Director of Sales works with the Vice President, Affiliate Sales to determine how to effect change to maximize Starz Entertainment (STE) subscribers and revenue through selling, promoting, pricing, packaging, and positioning STE services.
Meet directly with affiliates, manage an internal team and have responsibility for revenue and subscribers.
Develop strategies and programs that support business partner’s goals in order to establish selling partnerships with all key affiliate sales partners.
Devise marketing strategies, implement tactics, and analyze trends and results to grow market share of STE products through strategic campaigns.
Collaborate on a strategic plan for the point of sale to ensure that overall goals for the account are met.
Utilize an understanding of the marketplace from various perspectives and information about STE and affiliate business initiatives, including information about competitive activities, and available resources to derive business plans.
Understand and identify the inherent strengths and weaknesses of each account in order to create and leverage new, out of the box sales and subscriber acquisition/upgrade ideas with each account to drive STE’s product sales.
Troubleshoot affiliate environment, market conditions, and competitive situations to meet or exceed goals.
Responsible for building strong affiliate relationships in order to facilitate or expedite the sell in process of STE initiatives.
Establish credibility with customers so they will share non-proprietary information (e.g. STE data, other customer data, and marketplace intelligence).
Track subscriber and revenue results and forecasts of each assigned business unit to ensure revenue growth goals are achieved and exceeded.
Monitor compliance of affiliate deals as it relates to pricing, packaging, and positioning of STE services, immediately communicating any real or potential concern in compliance.
Increase team and individual selling efforts by inspiring, motivating, and guiding others toward goal accomplishments.
Manage and coach Account Managers and Point of Sale Specialists to ensure they are focused on priority accounts that not only provide STE a greater return on investment, but also assist STE in being functionally efficient and effective.

Desired Job Experience
Bachelors Degree in Sales or Marketing or similar discipline preferred; Minimum five years experience in a Sales or Marketing role preferably within the TV entertainment field; and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must have strong negotiation, strategic, and analytical skills
Proven track record of managing and developing a team.
Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
