The Chase Auto Finance (CAF) User Developed Business Applications (UDBA) Program is a multi-year initiative aiming at rationalizing the portfolio of applications developed and currently maintained by business units within Auto Finance. The program will include activities aimed at (a) creating a comprehensive inventory of the UDBAs, (b) assessing operational risk and criticality of the identified applications, (c) creating action plans to remediate deficient applications, (d) establish long term strategies and target state for the applications and (e) executing on those strategies as required and prioritized by the program.
This position will be part of the CAF UDBA team which is targeted at working with the several internal business units to support the activities, provide analysis, advise, develop and execute on the defined roadmap for each of the identified user developed business applications. More specifically, the Application Development Delivery Manager will lead and coordinate the execution of multiple application development streams of work in the program. Key responsibilities shall include but not be limited to:
Planning and executing on the transition of UDBAs and associated resources to IT
Planning and executing on the remediation of UDBAs to meet JPMC ITRM standards
Working with the architecture, infrastructure and other application development teams to identify target state architecture, platforms and applications for the portfolio of UDBAs
Working with the production support team to ensure the on boarding and alignment of the UDBAs with current support, assurance and change management processes
Representing our organization in technology initiatives impacting the existing UDBA portfolio of applications
Being the primary technology lead for our organization in all relevant UDBA governance forums
Building a strong delivery capability on remediation, re-platform and build of solutions for the UDBA portfolio
Leading the delivery team on design and development of solutions for the UDBA portfolio
Actively leading design reviews and code walkthroughs to ensure high quality deliverables
Managing teams and creating a delivery model that leverages from staff located across continents
Ensuring the delivery team follows standard SDLC model to deliver high quality technical solutions
Ensuring the delivery team adheres to architecture standards, risk management and security policies
Working closely with program and project managers to produce realistic effort estimates, ensure task completion within estimates, identify and communicate variances as early as possible
Overseeing formal testing processes and procedures across data management projects
Coordinating migrations across environments with the code deployment teams
Driving and ensuring production readiness for all UDBA remediation, re-platform and build projects
Managing the relationship with the business units supported by the UDBA portfolio
Creating resource plans and forecasts for the UDBA AD team based on an approved BOW demand
10+ years experience in business-oriented IT leadership and delivery
10+ years experience with full application development lifecycle (analysis, architecture, design, development, testing and deployment)
10+ years experience in managing an application development teams with multiple skill sets
7+ years experience in developing applications for reporting, analytics and/or transaction processing
7+ years experience with Oracle databases
3+ years experience with ETL tools such as Informatica, Ab Initio.
3+ years experience with BI and analytic tools such as Cognos, BusinessObjects, SAS
Strong leadership and influencing skills
Ability to navigate and drive change through a large, complex environment
Excellent interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication skills
Bachelor or higher degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline would be preferred
