Research, plan and develop business opportunities, market position and collaborative relationships that will promote the mission and strategic plan of Syracuse Community Health Center. Develop market strategies and positions by studying integration of potential new venture with SCHC strategies and operations; examine risk and potentials; estimate partners’ needs and roles. Responsible for directing the planning and development function within the SCHC System of Care including the management of major projects, strategic planning, new products and services development, territorial expansion, and new venture development.
Bachelors or Masters Degree in Business,Public Health, Health Administration, or other related fields required. Five to Seven years of demonstrated experience in Clinical Operations, Healthcare Administration, Practice Management, Strategic Planning or Grants Management and business development required.
Knowledge of healthcare industry, including local and regional environment. Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and have the ability to communicate with effectively with all customer groups.
Proven track record in project management and execution involving more than one component of an operating entity. Knowledge of Grants Administration process required. Demonstrated leadership skills. Exceptional analytical and assessment skills are necessary. Working knowledge of Certificate of Need and other health care regulatory documents a plus.
Master’s Degree preferred.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk, sit; use hands to finger, handle objects, controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift up to 15 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance and color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
