Job Description

Summary of Responsibilities:
The Director - Field Recognition Development and Reporting will support the end to end process of management and advisor recognition programs. This will also include aligning the recognition programs to the business strategies and partnering with senior leaders to review the programs annually.

Principal Responsibilities:
Primary responsibility is to direct the design, administration, tracking, reporting and communication of sales management and advisor recognition programs for MetLife's domestic career sales force channels.

Track, report and communicate channel salespower and testing results of new potential advisors looking to join the Company.

Work with existing recognition team to document all business processes.

Hire, train and integrate a new and cohesive team of recognition specialists by transferring appropriate knowledge, building or enhancing new or existing processes, and installing checkpoints and milestones.

Partner with senior business leaders on the review, development and enhancement of annual recognition performance measures.

Responsible for translating business strategies into incentive and recognition programs that will drive achievement of our sales and business goals.

Communicate and report new and existing recognition criteria to sales management and advisors on a regular basis through a variety of medium including field communications, the My Recognition Score system and field bulletins. Also responsible for industry information and reports requests such as MDRT and GAMA/LAMP.

Accountable for the year-end error correction/exception request process and for monitoring business review post-year end for fallout and gaming.

Oversee the modeling and analysis of results, trends and development of new or enhanced tracking mechanisms.

Conduct regular benchmarking activities, market research and trending analysis to ensure that MetLife programs and structures remain competitive to attract and retain top talent.

Ensure adherence to compliance and audit-related requirements.

Partner closely with the Conference Event Delivery department.

Full people management responsibility, including hiring, performance and compensation management, training and development.

Job Requirements

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies Required:
5 years of related or sales distribution experience including people management experience.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Knowledge of applicable insurance and securities products and services.

Strong Excel, Access, and PowerPoint skills

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies Desired:
Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, sound business judgment, computer skills, ability to coach and mentor, and organizational skills.

Strong analytical skills

Ability to partner across large organization, work cross-functionally and integrate information from diverse areas.

Ability to lead and manage teams and establish and nurture business partner relationships.

Strong influencing skills in order to negotiate across the enterprise.
