Dynamics of the Role
This leadership role is a great mixture of accounting, reporting, forecasting, analysis and decision support for the overall USIS business. You will be highly visible with constant interaction and direct support of C-suite executives such as the USIS President, USIS Chief Operating Officer, Chief Product Office, and USIS & Corporate Chief Financial Officers. You will be required to lead a strong team of people through multiple priorities to hit critical deadlines. You will need to drive constant process improvement and automation in order to be able to focus on enhanced business decision support. You will review complex contractual & legal documents and business situations to discern financial, accounting and operational impacts. You will drive reporting improvements to satisfy the increased demand for information needed to make critical business decisions. The person will also be responsible for Internal Controls and SOX documentation for US business segment. The responsibilities include consolidation of USIS actuals and budget/forecasts and presentation thereof to senior management teams.
The Team’s Focus
The USIS Accounting and Finance team partners with the USIS and USIT business to provide financial insight into business performance while helping inform and support decision-making processes. Activities include reporting key business performance indicators; strategic planning; annual budgeting and forecasting; variance analysis and the preparation of executive reports and presentations. Members of the team regularly collaborate with and advise top-level executives within the business organization, gaining in-depth exposure to the operation and performance of the business. Associates have strong planning and analytical skills, GAAP knowledge, the ability to interpret and clearly explain data to non-Finance leadership and enjoy ongoing opportunities to support the business and improve business performance.
