Manages all transportation, warehousing and 3PL activities worldwide for Zebra Technologies Corporation. Leads efforts to streamline materials flows, implement best practices and drive productivity improvements including application of Lean 6-sigma methodologies in aspects of the Global Logistics function.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to, price and service negotiation, contracting, and the selection and management of multiple logistics service suppliers including brokers, forwarders, carriers, and trade services providers. This position entails fiscal responsibility for global logistics costs and requires effective leadership and teaming with diverse, multi-functional, multi-level internal and external disciplines to drive lowest total cost logistics solutions.
Design, develop and manage the global logistics processes and solutions using a team approach supported by performance plans and objectives.
Lead efforts to standardize processes and implement best practices for warehouse and transportation management.
Accountable for high level of focus on customer service: shipping accuracy and on-time delivery performance above 99%.
Key Leader of Network Optimization Study and accountable for implementing recommendations which may include establishing new distribution facilities, closing or moving existing facilities in various parts of the globe..
Leads efforts to configure/utilize InfoShip and Oracle Warehouse Management modules.
Establish and manage collaborative relationships with all logistics service providers with the emphasis on continuous cost and service improvements through a balanced scorecard.
Develops tactical plans to upgrade facilities and streamline operations (MHE, warehouse layout, etc.)
Capture, report, and understand global logistics costs and cost drivers, report financial performance, and implement cost and service improvement programs that deliver a net 5% TCP year over year.
Proactively manage the development of technical and professional skills of all direct and indirect reports through effective leadership, evaluation, coaching, training, and development practices
Effective performance management of business, functional and personal development goals with 360° feedback from internal and external customer base.
Maintain a current knowledge of carriers, operating authority, insurance coverage, transit times, rates, procedures (OS&D, trace, expedite, etc).
Understands regulations, ICC rules, tariff rates, classifications and policies and maintains tariffs.

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business or Transportation/Logistics/Supply Chain Management related discipline.
Desired Masters degree in Business or Transportation/Logistics/Supply Chain Management related discipline
Minimum of ten years experience in a global logistics environment with a minimum of eight years management experience. Minimum of three years experience in managing third party logistics service providers.
In-depth knowledge of global logistics coupled with an extensive understanding of domestic and global business strategies
Ability to think broadly and strategically coupled with tactical capabilities to deliver strategies in a cost effective manner
Highly driven, fact based and results oriented with a strong track record in leading, aligning and managing teams against high performance objectives.
Demonstrated success in driving continuous improvement and significant change across multiple internal and external disciplines and organization levels.
Experienced working with cross functional matrix organizations and diverse cultures.
Demonstrated leadership and initiative.
Successful and proven track record with International Logistic operations management
Fluent in English, bi-lingual preferred.
