Johnson & Johnson World Headquarters is recruiting for a Director Global Talent Management located in New Brunswick, NJ.
The Director Global Talent Management is responsible for understanding the enterprise and specific global business strategy, partnering with respective leadership teams in the business to create a Talent Strategy, resulting in a greater depth, breadth and diversity of our talent pipeline globally. The individual will design and implement leadership and talent development processes aligned to the global J&J standards, while meeting the unique critical growth needs for a respective business/sector. He/she will ensure an integrated approach to talent identification, selection, development and movement working closely with the business-based HR leaders as well as the specialty groups, total rewards and recognition, diversity and inclusion as well as recruitment and global mobility to ensure flawless execution. This individual will have a global team, who will focus on critical global, functional, regional priorities.
This individual will be accountable for diagnosing key organizational and critical leadership needs and designing/implementing development solutions which are relevant to the business and aligned to the overall Global Talent Management Strategy and Framework. Ensure the global talent processes are implemented, communicated and integrated into the overall business rhythm. Deliver and continuously improve the slating/interviewing process for critical positions. Supporting GOC HRVP in priority leadership, organizational capability and talent related initiatives (e.g., GOC leadership & talent agenda, implications of strategic plan on future leadership needs, Business related action learning teams, Succession Planning sessions, etc). Create and sustain the momentum around leadership pipeline development through use of state of the art thinking and external trends & benchmarks as well as metrics, analysis, etc. Effectively lead and influence within a global, matrixed environment across multiple franchises on talent development strategies and plans.
The Director Global Talent Management will be a member of the" Sector" HR leadership team and have a global team of 3-4 talent directors that report into the position on a dotted line basis. Reports directly to the VP, Global Talent Management and dotted line to the Sector GOC (Group Operating Committee) HR VP.
A minimum of a Bachelor Degree or equivalent is required; Masters Degree is preferred. A minimum of 10 years of relevant business experience including a minimum of 5 years working in Leadership Development and Talent Management is required. Experience in a strategic business-based HR role across multiple functions as well as global experience is preferred. Must have experience consulting with senior executive teams and global HR Leadership teams to problem solve and identify leadership, talent and capability gaps and subsequently design and implement organizational capability, leadership and talent development plans. Strong leadership as well as collaboration and partnership skills with multiple stakeholders is critical. Experience working in a global, highly matrixed and complex organization is preferred. Role requires approximately 20% travel (globally).
