Bachelor of Arts
RHIA - Registered Health Information Administrator
5 years experience required
Manages the planning, staffing, operations, quality improvement, compliance with regulations and reporting within the department for the institution. Leads internal and external staff through changes in order to achieve hospital goals. Plays a key role in automating and managing the access to hospital and community health information. Serves as the Privacy Officer for the hospital. Oversees all ongoing activities related to the development, implementation, maintenance of, and adherence to the organization's policies and procedures covering the privacy of, and access to,and/or release of patient health information in compliance with federal and state laws and the healthcare organization's information privacy practices.

Registered Record Administrator (RHIA).
Master's degree preferred.
At least 5 years managment experience.

Ability to communicate effectively, both written and orally.
Ability to manager multiple priorities.
Ability to delegate responsibility and empower staff and managers.
Ability to evaluate computer systems/software and make recommendations.
Ability to evaluate computer systems/software and make recommendations.
Ability to keep abreast of changes in health information management and regulatory requirements.
