The Director of Manufacturing will play a critical role in maintaining and growing the safe operations of 8 manufacturing plants with total revenue of approximately 800MM in revenue. This position can be located in Des Plaines, IL or any other US city because of the 50% travel .
Position Responsibilities :
Will be responsible for the following PT&E and GP&H equipment sites as listed below;
The site leaders at each of these sites will report directly to the Director of Manufacturing.
Tonawanda, NY (PT&E)
Beggs, OK (PT&E)
Shanghai, China (PT&E)
Littleton, CO (GP&H)
Anaheim, CA (GP&H)
Penang, Malaysia (GP&H)
Tulsa, OK (UOP Russell – GP&H)
The Director of Manufacturing will also be responsible for meeting monthly, quarterly, and annual targets for the following areas:
Visit the sites on a regular basis
Responsible for working with the business leaders of PT&E and GP&H on annual and strategic plans for the site
Ensure appropriate staffing and spending at the sites
Ensure that customer expectations are met on quality and delivery
Report regularly to the VP of ISC for UOP
Will work on special assignments as needed
Ability to travel up to 50%.
BS in Engineering or related Business degree.
Minimum10 years professional experience in manufacturing.
Minimum 5 years of supervisory or staff leadership experience
Leadership experience in a fabrication and/or assembly manufacturing environment
Management experience of multiple site facilities.
Experience within a Six Sigma and/or Lean manufacturing environment.
A track record of successful change management experience.
Strong leadership impact and influencing skills.
Strong business and technical acumen.
Proven ability to interface with multi-functional team members.
Strong communications skills, both oral and written.
Solid project management expertise.
An integrative thinker capable of foreseeing potential issues and concerns, as well as effectively manage the progress of the programs.
Able to execute and deliver in a fast paced environment.
Must be highly self-motivated and able to inspire others.
