Post by Jobing - This position manages the day–to–day operations for a 24–hours nursing service resulting in quality care delivered in a clean, safe and regulatory compliant environment; directs nursing services at a Medicaid certified facility that serves 107 people in ICF/IIDs and group homes; oversees patient clinics; prepares budget requests; employs and trains staff; monitors nursing standards for quality assurance; hires; directs, instructs and counsels nurses; promotes and ensures a philosophy of interdisciplinary service delivery; writes goal planning documents and conducts subordinate evaluations; attends management staff meetings; evaluates in–service and out–service training programs needed by the nursing staff. This position is the liaison with the residential/day program/support staff on campus, physician, local hospitals, specialty clinics, community physicians, dental services, and pharmacy services. Knowledge of: Nursing administration principles and practices. Specialized needs of intellectually disabled persons.

Concepts of program planning and design. Department of Health Services licensing and ICF/IID regulations. Principles of human relations and behavior. Skill in: · Planning and administering a health services program serving individuals who are intellectually disabled and compliant with all state and federal ICF/IID requirements.

  • Evaluating an ongoing program for staff and clients. · Budget development and management. · Prioritizing needs. · Leadership and supervisory practices and counseling.
  • Developing and training staff. Ability to: · Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication, active listening and problem solving skills.
