The Director serves as brand manager for individual programs and leads the development of integrated marketing campaigns that generate awareness and drive tune-in to Showtime original, series, pictures and events. The director also oversees the development and execution of consumer advertising campaigns.
Specifically you will:
. Develop the strategic positioning, determine the target audience, and establish marketing objectives and strategies for 8-10 major original programming initiatives per year working in conjunction with Programming, Research and other areas.
. Develop the advertising strategy, write campaign creative briefs, and partner with the Media department, as well as internal and external creative agencies, to ensure advertising is on strategy, budget and deadline.
. Review and approve all advertising elements, including multiple print, outdoor, TV, radio and online executions, and shepherd through all internal and external approval process.
. Represent department and liaise with producers, programming execs and talent at advertising photo and broadcast shoots.
. Guide an integrated team of marketing specialists from various departments (digital media, media, promotion, on-air, programming, acquisition marketing, etc) to develop the strategic and tactical marketing plans for each program.
. Liaise with external partners, (production companies, licensees, soundtrack producers, etc) to integrate with Showtime campaign and maximize efficiencies.
. Read scripts and/or view Showtime original product to develop positioning and strategies, as well as to identify marketing opportunities. Required Skills/Experience To qualify, candidates must have 7-10 years minimum experience in one or more of the following areas: entertainment brand marketing, advertising (entertainment focused clients a plus), online advertising/marketing, print production, broadcast promotion/production, cable/satellite industry advertising/marketing, and media planning.
