The Direct-to-Consumer organization is seeking a passionate, team oriented leader to be the Director of P&C eMarketing. You will have a smart, passionate and dedicated team that leverages some of the best technologies and practices in the business. You will work in a group with a culture of a start-up, but the stability of a 145 year-old company. This team has accomplished over four (4) times growth over the past 3 years. We need a leader with a get-it-down mentality to continue this trajectory,
The qualified individual would be responsible for helping grow online leads and sales for the Property and Casualty (P&C) Direct-to-Consumer and Group Insurance organization through digital advertising. If you are an experienced digital marketing professional who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented, and results-accountable environment, this role is for you. The Director of eMarketing creates digital media strategies, determines advertising channels and establishes media spending by channel that aligns with cost per acquisition goals and budget. The individual will work across many areas of the organization to communicate media strategies, execution plans, and business results. The Director of eMarketing is expected to conceive, plan and execute innovative and highly-measurable eMarketing strategies across paid and earned media channels. This portfolio includes search engine marketing (SEM), digital display advertising, mobile advertising, organic search (SEO), social media advertising, and Internet marketing strategies consistent with the group’s performance marketing expense, revenue, and growth goals.

Job Requirements

Lead MetLife’s P&C eMarketing strategy for digital advertising, including paid search, online display, insurance aggregator and mobile advertising

Create a marketing forecast to help meet business objectives

Ensure all media strategies ladder up to and deliver on the business goals and objectives

Be accountable for achieving business targets in cost per acquisition efficiency as well as aggressive sales and premium goals

Identify new ways and relationships to bring creativity and innovation to the eMarketing execution

Partner with outside agency (digital agency of record) to translate these media strategies into tactics

Partner internally to better use the internet to extend the reach, and create awareness for our Group P&C business

Thorough understanding of business objectives, industry trends, consumer trends, promotional opportunities and competitive landscape

Responsible for driving digital creative and testing new variables against control

Ensure alignment and partnership with business associates, including market research, business intelligence, strategic markets, finance, analytics, web marketing, procurement and legal teams

Act as the digital subject matter expert within MetLife to continue growing the company’s digital marketing effectiveness

Manage multiple digital agency teams and vendor relationships to drive value to the organization

Accountable for managing large projects including internal and external resources

Manage a team of digital media managers and operations personnel

Experience Required

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or other related field; MBA preferred

8-12 years, marketing experience, 3-5 years in digital marketing

People management and leadership experience

Deep understanding of the current digital media environment, including paid search, display advertising, mobile advertising, lead generation;

Experienced builder and executer of digital media

Metric-driven and detail oriented

Strong written and verbal communication skills and analytical skills

Excellent presentation, time and project management skills

Education Required

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or other related field; MBA preferred
