The Director of Quality Assurance will report to the Sr. Director of Quality. You will provide key leadership, direction, and supervision for all Quality Activities within the organization. In addition to building and maintaining a world class Quality organization, you will serve as a subject matter expert within the company. This is a broadly defined assignment so your ability to think strategically and execute tactically is crucial. Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to; Design Controls, Risk Management, Doc Control, Manufacturing, and Supplier Quality, you must be well versed with managing these disciplines successfully.
Tactical duties include developing/refining test methods, performing Quality audits (Internal & External) and developing subsequent preventive action programs. You will serve as the management representative to governing agencies, so being an effective verbal and written communicator is a must. This is a leadership role within the organization so a proven track record as a Quality leader with Medical Devices or Diagnostics in addition to a solid work history is required. They are looking for an individual with the band width to advance at least one more career level.
The successful candidate will have the following qualities:
- 10+ years of Medical Device Quality experience.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Quality (advanced degree preferred).
- 5+ years of Medical Device Quality Management experience (including direct report responsibilities).
- Proven track record of leading all Quality functions within a Medical Device company.
- ASQ certification or Six Sigma or Lean Certification preferred.
The compensation plan includes an above-average base salary, an excellent bonus program, and expanded benefits. Full relocation is also available.
