Position Description
We are currently seeking a Director of Recruitment to join our Chicago office. The Director of Recruitment will be relied upon to meet aggressive hiring goals by constantly sourcing and pre-screening experienced professionals, therefore maintaining a fluid pipeline of active candidates. This position will also be responsible for guiding new hires through the on-boarding process, managing employee relations, applicant tracking system administration and other specials projects as assigned.
We have a strong preference for a proactive and strategic recruiter with a background in both agency and corporate settings. The main responsibilities are as follows:
Recruiting
Responsible for the full-life cycle recruitment process, including the development and execution of attraction, sourcing, assessment, selection, and acquisition strategies for high quality candidates
Develop, refine and maintain a comprehensive pipeline of experienced candidates through creative sourcing such as: Adams Harris career center applicants (Maxhire ATS), cold calling, Boolean logic, employee referrals, job boards, social networking, professional directories and associations, targeted email campaigns, career fairs, industry conferences and networking events.
S ource and review resumes daily to ensure candidates meet minimum criteria for requisition matching or the general pipeline needs
Guide candidates through the interview process including pre-screening, on-site interviews with various levels of management, debrief, facilitate feedback and coordinate offer process
Finalize candidate resumes in the Adams Harris format including review for accuracy, grammar and overall presentation
Provide assistance in the preparation of candidate or current employee profiles, summarizing and highlighting key skills for client presentations
Work closely with senior leadership and business development teams providing strategic advice, guidance and solutions regarding the recruiting programs and issues
Manage all communication and negotiations with outside agencies with respect to recruiting product and services. Evaluates the performance of vendors utilized in providing recruiting support and recommends changes in vendors and/or new vendors
Consistently meet established metrics for productivity, candidate/client satisfaction and quality
Strategically identify business development opportunities through recruitment efforts
Employee Relations
Compliance with applicable federal, state and local employment laws, regulations, policies and procedures of personnel administration used in recruitment, hiring, supervising, training and evaluating staff.
Provide support and assistance to all new hires including on-boarding, employee relations and education of Adams Harris policies and procedures.
Promote and provide immediate feedback on employee referrals
General
Adhere to all Adams Harris policies, procedures, and standards, within budgetary specifications including time management, supply management, productivity and accuracy of practice
Maintain consistency of information for corporate, intranet sites, and ensure integrity of Maxhire candidate database including data entry, tracking, and processing changes
Attend weekly and monthly team status meetings
Provide ad hoc reporting/support and special projects as requested
Professional Qualifications
Bachelor degree in Business, HR Management or other field related to our service offerings
Minimum 3 years of results oriented recruitment, preferably in a professional services environment. Contingency search firm, corporate recruiting, or staffing for a growing business beneficial.
Demonstrated ability to drive recruitment through the use of creative sourcing and proactive recruiting strategies
Proven experience conducting management level interviews, negotiating offers and closing candidates
High level of professionalism, personal integrity, dependability and energy
Excellent interpersonal skills and "customer focus" with ability to positively interact with all levels of management in a rapidly growing organization
Demonstrate a high sense of urgency and drive to exceed the minimum expectations
Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and projects at once, prioritizing efficiently
Technically proficient with internet recruiting, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Excellent communication, writing, and grammar skills with attention to detail
Desirable
Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification, Certified Personnel Consultant (CPC) or related HR certification a plus
Knowledge of applicable federal, state and local employment laws, regulations, policies and procedures of personnel administration used in recruitment, hiring, supervising, training and evaluating staff
Experience interviewing Internal Audit, Accounting & Finance, Information Technology or Tax professionals
Proficient with Maxhire or similar applicant tracking system; ability to learn new systems quickly
