Alabama State University, Department of Intercollegiate Athletics, invites applications to fill the position of Director of Tennis Operations. The successful applicant will be responsible for all member relations, management of the facility, programming, pro shop, grounds and maintenance; ensure that member profiles are accurate and up-to-date; promote and market the ASU Tennis Center in the community through local, regional and national outlets; manage and evaluate the Tennis Center staff; oversee daily, weekly, monthly and annual income and expense reports; develop, well in advance, annual social, competitive and instructional program for all ages, gender and skill levels that might include: leagues, exhibitions, inter and intra club events, camps, charity and community based events; maintain an attractive atmosphere where members can shop through extensive displays of quality merchandise and promotional products; maintain records of members buying habits, birth dates, special events and opportunities to promote sales and keep accurate sales reports, sales tax and business tax records; oversee court and facility maintenance; determine daily, weekly, monthly and annual checklist for maintenance staff to help hold all staff accountable, verify work accomplishments and perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s degree in Sports Administration, Business Administration or related field and 5 years experience managing a tennis facility or coaching are required or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
