Job FunctionLeads the marketing function which has primary responsibility for developing the companys marketing strategy and managing the implementation of marketing programs, policies and procedures. The Director, Marketing reports directory to Head of Corporate Communications. The team works with senior management to review, evaluate and enhance branding strategy in support of the companys efforts to market to tenants, brokers, investors, employees and others in the community. This position has the primary responsibility for advertising campaigns and promotional activities, including driving the creative process over the production of collateral materials, web-site administration and other general marketing activities. ResponsibilitiesDirect and implement marketing activities using internal team members, external marketing/advertising/branding agencies and consultants, website developers, and printers, ensuring consistent messages are communicated at the various marketing touch points (e.g., websites, collateral, tear sheets, signage), and the companys visual identity and trademarks are properly displayed across internal and external print and electronic media. Ensure that key, strategic messages are communicated effectively to target audiences to communicate the companys brand promise, purpose and identity. Produce, or act as liaison with firms that produce public relations materials, advertising and marketing collateral. Promote consistency and cohesion among all printed pieces and signage that bear the companys name to ensure uniformity in look and feel, and protect the integrity of the companys brand and trademarks. Manage all aspects of print production, receipt and distribution. Develop and manage the advertising and promotions budget and deliver all marketing activity within the established budget. Oversee the content and administration of the company web-sites (internet, property micro-websites', and intranet). Lead the marketing support for ceremonial property events (e.g., groundbreaking, ribbon-cutting) to maximize tenant goodwill and public relations impact.%
Skills/ExperienceMinimum of twelve years in a marketing position with comparable industry experience. A Bachelor Degree in Marketing, or business required; MBA degree a plus. Proven track record of developing and implementing marketing and branding strategies. Significant knowledge of visual solutions to the branding and communications needs, as well as graphics and web software packages. Proven leadership, management and organizational skills with a track record of results. Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing with individuals at all levels including external parties. Strong presentation skills.
