USTA New England Inc. is seeking an energetic, innovative, leader for the position of Director, Community Tennis Development. We seek an individual with proven leadership and partnership development experience capable of working in a fast-paced, results-oriented team whose mission is to †Promote and Develop the Growth of Tennis†. The candidate will provide leadership and oversee the administration and implementation of the Department of Community Tennis Development for USTA New England.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include, but are not limited to the following: Other duties and assignments may be specified to enhance the overall performance of USTA New England. 1 - General ActivitiesA. Prepare and submit a variety of documents and reports - Including those requested by the Executive Director, USTA New England Board, and USTA National Staff; monthly activity reports, committee meeting reports, event/meeting summaries, and Semi-Annual and Annual reports.B. Attend/conduct a variety of meetings and conferences - Including USTA/NE Annual Meetings, Budget Meetings, TEAM Meetings and Conference Calls, USTA National and Section Staff Trainings, State Association Meetings and conference calls, as applicable.

Attend other meetings as assigned.C. Attend/present a variety of training courses, seminars and other presentations.D. Support Section internal and external customer service efforts - Including respond and follow-up to requests/complaints in a timely manner, maintain availability and accessibility to assist customers and associates, and foster rapport with customers and associates.E. Achieve or exceed applicable goals - Including Section Goals.2 - Management ActivitiesA.

Provide supervision, support, guidance, assistance and leadership to Community Relations Managers - Including goal setting, meetings, and strategic/operating plan to oversee the growth and development of community tennis initiatives including but not limited to 10 & Under Tennis, Play Days, Kids Clubs, Jr. Team Tennis, School Tennis, Community Tennis Associations/National Junior Tennis & Learning, Tennis on Campus, and Adaptive, Diversity & Inclusion programming. B. Prepare Department Budget - Including successfully managing the Department†s budgetary process.C.

Develop, provide input, manage, and support the Section†s planning processes - Including Strategic and Department Operational plans.D. Prepare and/or distribute promotional materials - Including coordinating materials with the Department of Marketing and Membership to support Section Community Tennis programs, activities & initiatives.E. Conduct professional staff and volunteer training programs - Including planning, organizing and conducting professional staff training sessions for Community Tennis Development activities and initiatives and participate in annual goal setting and performance reviews.F. Provide oversight of Grants for section for Community Tennis along with the Target Market Initiative, Public Facility Assistance, Blended lines for 10 & under tennis, etc.3 - Quality Improvement ActivitiesA.

Participate in a variety of special project team and/or quality improvement team efforts as necessary.B. Individually identify areas or methods of needed improvement - Including setting necessary personal objectives for accomplishment and/or forwards suggestions to the responsible individual. 4 - Significant Contact ActivitiesA. Serve as Section Contact and Staff Liaison -Including USTA Sectional Contact for the Community Tennis Department and Staff Liaison to various Community Tennis Development Committees and others as required.B.

Represent the USTA/NE at a variety of events - Including create partnerships with a variety of outside agencies in order to promote Community Tennis Development Department programs throughout USTA/NE.C. Foster positive working relationships with a variety of entities - Including State Association Boards and Volunteers, Section and State Association Committees, USTA Members and the general public.D. Work in conjunction with the Executive Director to develop, implement, and evaluate short and long range goals and objectives of the association.
