Title: Director, Ad Monetization
Location: San Francisco, CA or Mountain View, CA
Zynga is looking for an experienced data-driven digital media professional to join our rapidly growing team as Director, Ad Monetization. In this role the ideal candidate will develop and lead programs designed to drive Zynga revenue and yield on our digital advertising inventory across a wide array of ad formats, channels and partners. Successful candidates will have demonstrated track record working with Executive, Product, Sales and Operations functions to deliver quantifiable results through yield optimization and revenue management tools and programs.
This position reports to the Sr. Director of Ad Product and is located in San Francisco, CA or Mountain View, CA.
Manage delivery of digital ad monetization systems, tools, and business processes from concept to production across Zynga’s display, video, mobile, and engagement ad marketplaces
Specific areas of focus will include reservation pricing optimization, inventory management, campaign optimization, and quote management/sales force automation tools
Work cross functionally to ensure successful, timely delivery of related capabilities
Develop and manage a small team of professionals to address operational and process/policy deployment, including day to day production and management of ad product rate card and inventory forecasts, and management of digital inventory allocation across indirect monetization platforms and partners
Forecast impact of proposed changes to facilitate prioritization of new capabilities
Define critical monetization metrics and KPIs; work with Ad Products team to develop and regularly distribute reporting that demonstrate progress against key metrics
Identify opportunities to improve operating and performance KPIs; make recommendations to executives and partner teams to facilitate prioritization and secure resources for deployment
Monitor developments in tools, technologies, and best practices for ad monetization in Digital Media
Minimum 7 years of experience in revenue management, pricing/yield management, advertising monetization or related field
Experience hiring and managing small teams of highly analytical experts within the digital ad space
Data analysis, statistical modeling and experience with common database formats and stat packages/languages highly desired
Domain experience with ad systems – common 3P ad servers, SFA/quote/order management, and common business intelligence or reporting platforms
Superb analytic skills with an ability to operate creatively and independently
Excellent communication, presentation, and management skills
B.S. in Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Operations Research, or related quantitative discipline. MS/MBA highly desirable.
