The Director of Autism Services will be responsible to deliver the leadership required to sustain Foundations Behavioral Health as the regional leader in Autism Services and to establish a national reputation for clinical excellence. The Director will utilize evidenced based practices to facilitate a continuum of care that provides measurable outcomes and the successful reintegration of each patient to their family, community from an inpatient psychiatric setting. The Director of Autism / PDD Services implements and directs an integrated treatment program including behavioral, developmental, educational, psychological, related services and participates in pharmacologically based interventions aimed to stabilize a patient’s behaviors. The multidiscipline approach will address the patients communicative, cognitive, sensory and social skills in collaboration with the Director of Clinical Services and Medical staff. The Director will ensure systematic data collection and analysis by working in partnership with Board Certified Behavior Analysts and the direct care staff. The Director is responsible for assuring staff meet the individual needs of each patient while maintaining the fiscal integrity of the unit through proper budgeting and resource allocation. The Director will ensure daily milieu functioning, appropriate communication between members of the staff and the hospital, school at large, and work with the Business Development team in strategic collaboration.


A Master’s degree is required although a Doctorate degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Special Education, Clinical Psychology, or related Human Services field is favorable. At least 5 years of experience providing services of managerial leadership to programs serving children and adolescents with ASD or related developmental disabilities, experience working within an inpatient hospital setting is strongly preferred. The Director must be familiar with current, evidence-based practices for addressing behaviors that can be aggressive or disruptive. Successful leadership will have been demonstrated in the development and delivery of training/coaching to professional and paraprofessional staff.
