Top performer with strong track record of closing complex deals and proven results demonstrated by exceeding goal. Individual contributor, responsible for growing business by selling Expense Management solutions to new large market customers. Their success is due to the ability to drive results — constantly pushing forward and motivated to pursue new opportunities. By researching and understanding the client’s issues, you will develop solutions that meet their needs. When appropriate, this position brings in experts from other parts of the American Express organization to consult with the client about best practices and other solutions.

Must be able to communicate effectively, taking a consultative approach to service, sale and success. Must be able to close deals because you can effectively position and explain the value of American Express solutions that meet their clients’ business objectives. Experience working in a virtual office a plus.

Qualifications

At least 5 years of solid B2B sales experience working with Fortune 500 companies. This is a true B2B sales position, managing a territory. To be successful you will have the following skills and experience: Proven ability to identify business opportunities and secure new business with value-added products and services. Solid track record of sales success, over-achievement, and high performance. You will need to have extensive experience in sourcing and qualifying leads and managing a pipeline of multiple accounts, researching and understanding customer needs, and planning strategically to close the sale. Achievers must be able to build relationships with C-level officials and business owners. Previous experience in a strategic environment working with an extensive sales cycle, lasting 6-12 months. This position will be located virtually in Houston, TX. Candidate MUST reside in the area to support their sales territory and have the ability to travel up to 50%.
