Kentfield Hospital is seeking a Director of Business Development to join our team. Using discretion and independent judgment, the Director increases awareness of the excellent medical care of the facility among members of the health care profession, as well as insurance representatives and consumers in targeted areas throughout the state. The Director develops an aggressive campaign to educate the public and health professionals in the primary target areas. The Director works with the CEO and CFO to develop service relationships ( contracts) with businesses, agencies, HMO’s, PPO’s, etc. This position has the responsibility for supervision of staff, This position is required to use independent discretion and judgment with respect to supervisory and management decisions and recommendations. The Director requires the ability to relate well with the CEO and other key staff members, have excellent skills in establishing and maintaining good media relations, organization, and attention to detail and follow through. The Director creates a supportive environment in which the department can fulfill the hospital’s mission and meet or exceed the department’s goals.
BA/BS required, with MS preferred
Minimum of 3 - 5 years of full-time public relations work experience, or equivalent.
Fundamental marketing techniques.
Creative self-starter with mature judgment.
Organizational skills - divide duties among PR and Marketing.
