POSITION STATEMENT: The Director of Campus Operations provides essential support to the Executive Director by assisting directors and managers in the budgeting and management of Redstone College’s resources, providing, recommending, implementing, and monitoring policies and procedures that comply with policies and procedures established by Redstone College and are consistent with sound financial management practices. The Director of Campus Operations is also responsible for leadership and oversight of daily operation of all campus functions: Campus Café, Bookstore/Facilities, and Director of Financial Affairs with ongoing support, encouragement and instruction to help them succeed within their respective departments. Functional Relationships: This position will work closely with the Director of Education, Student Services, Career Development, Records, Education & Faculty, Admissions teams, and other departments as necessary. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: · Initiates and encourages coordinated activities between business office, financial aid, student services, and academic areas in order to improve the service to students as well as facilitate maximum utilization of resources. · Coordinates and provides on-going training to increase Redstone staff understanding of financial and administrative systems. · Analyzes and manages budgetary controls at the campus level. · Assists managers with budgets, students, and occasionally parents in financial matters (as necessary). · Provides direct/indirect supervision and evaluation of day-to-day operations and training of staff in the Bookstore/Facilities, Business Office/Financial Aid; monitors campus cash flow, capital expenditures and budget transactions at the campus to ensure compliance with corporate guidelines. · Resolves problems and responds to non-routine inquires relating to all responsible areas including student billing, financial aid, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and bookstore operations. · Assembles and compiles data and reports and interprets findings as appropriate. · Other duties as assigned by supervisor. OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Frequently, this position will require attendance at meetings or assisting others in duties not listed in this job description. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: This position requires strong financial budgeting, computational and administration skills and the ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail and accuracy; ability to provide leadership and work effectively with individuals of all ranks, and personalities. In addition, this position requires the ability to make effective decisions, maintain confidentiality and discretion as well as use technology effectively. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Baccalaureate degree in business or related field
Two to three years of management experience
Three to five years of financial and administrative experience are strongly desired
Demonstrated experience in computerized financial systems, planning, management and independent decision making
Must demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills
Knowledge of Title IV funding regulations and regulatory compliance preferred. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS 1. Standing 2. Walking 3. Sitting 4. Carrying – up to 50 pounds
