Job Summary: The Director of Career Development and Service Learning will be responsible for promoting, coordinating and advocating career services and service learning initiatives for the Hilbert College community. Provides individual and group career/job search counseling to students and alumni; educates students and alumni about the tools used to seek and secure employment (i.e. web usage, resumes, cover letters, interviewing, networking, etc.); assists students and alumni with preparation for graduate school applications; coordinates the Career Resource Lab including maintaining and updating the Career Development website and career and graduate school materials; writes, edits, and distributes career and service learning literature; participates in orientation activities; serves on college committees as assigned; attends meetings and other functions as assigned; develop and coordinate placement opportunities for faculty to incorporate service learning into their classes; facilitates faculty training programs to educate the Hilbert community of the benefits and learning outcomes of participating in service learning initiatives; fosters relationships with faculty members to create and develop service learning opportunities for students; establishes and maintains communication with community partners; identifies funding sources for service projects; oversees the evaluation process to ensure a meaningful experience for the students; maintains student’s service hours, liability agreements, and general paperwork

Requirements/Qualifications: Strong computer skills ; s trong communication and interpersonal skills;flexibility, some evening and weekend hours available for planning and coordinating; project management ability; familiarity with campus services, policies and regulations; capable of developing and maintaining positive relationships. Master’s Degree required; 3 to 5 years’ experience preferred with coordinating or participating in career and service learning programs or the equivalent.
