A local well known healthcare provider in the Boston area that is adding to its leadership team specifically in the area of Supply Chain optimization.
A local healthcare provider is in the process of an ongoing transformation initiative to drive cost savings and process efficiencies. They are consistently ranked highly in patient care services, education, training, and community health and wellness programs to improve the health of the Boston metro area.
They seek a Director of Clinical Supply Chain who will be a key member of the Management Team and report directly to the Vice President of Supply Chain Management. She/he will provide strong strategic and tactical leadership to the sourcing, distribution, logistics and hospital operations organization, while bringing a strong patient/ consumer orientation and a real "Expense Management" approach to increase innovation in addition to driving time and cost out of the supply chain. In addition, the new Director of Clinical Supply Chain will assure the development and execution of a comprehensive end-to-end supply chain management strategic plan; the efficient procurement of medical supplies with a focus on total cost of ownership, the optimization of a supply chain logistics network; that regulatory and compliance measures are met within guidelines and the identification and implementation of best in class technology and infrastructure along with disciplines that underlie a best-in-class supply chain operation.
Who we are looking for
Bachelors Degree in Hospital/ Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field;
Lean/ Six Sigma Black Belt Preferred;
A clinician background would be considered a plus;
At least 10+ years of experience in supply chain operations; with experience in Procurement and Logistics and Warehousing (spend circa $500mm); 5+ years in an end-to-end Supply Chain leadership role;
Healthcare or related industry operations experience within a world class supply chain; in-depth knowledge of procurement, inventory management, warehousing, distribution, logistics, transportation; skilled in inventory management;
Patient/Customer and process focused with a track record of success leveraging technology and infrastructure to reduce costs, improve efficiencies to ensure excellence in customer service with formal project management experience and training in Six Sigma and/or LEAN;
Exceptional relationship building skills and team-building capability with strong influencing skills; culture is highly relationship oriented; gravitas and credibility are a must to interface successfully with Physicians and Administrators
