We're seeking a Director of Clymb 365. Clymb 365 is a new initiative offered by The Clymb to ensure outdoor enthusiasts are able to find essential outdoor products all the time at great Clymb values. This is a key role in planning and executing strategies that improve the consumer experience, product selection and drive incremental sales. This position works with key stakeholders across marketing, merchandising, ops and tech to ensure systems and processes are in place to allow Clymb members to choose from a thoughtfully curated selection of products for a specific sport or activity. The Director of Clymb 365 will use data and analysis to identify and react to current and future business trends and opportunities. Work with marketing and merchandising teams to select a well-merchandised product mix and price ladder that will offer deals at 10% - 30% off MSRP therefore meeting the needs of our value proposition while complementing the flash sale pricing and selections.
Oversee a thoughtfully curated selection of merchandise presented in Clymb 365 events.
Coordinate with marketing team to ensure Clymb 365 receives promotional attention
Develop and maintain buying relationships with industry vendors
Coordinate with company buyers on what items to purchase for Clymb 365 events
Review and analyze events performance for use in identifying future opportunities and planning subsequent events and recommending quantities to be purchased or pre-booked with vendors, ensuring relevance of in-season & pre-season products and high-attachment, and high-volume products are attained.
Based on analysis of historical performance and forecasting of future trends, coordinate with managers and directors to set various sales and promotional goals and work with merchandising and marketing teams to execute upon those goals.
Stay abreast of competitors' products and prices and inform teams of those trends.
Monitor product demand and develop pricing strategies and promotional plans.
Communicate effectively with cross-functional team members and Merchandising to ensure optimal planning of inventory to be purchased or reserved.
Responsible for reporting of weekly sell-through information.
Responsible for adding inventory on a weekly basis. Partner with Operations team to maximize use of warehouse inventory.
Responsible to meet pre-determined monthly, quarterly and annual sales goals
The preferred candidate will have a bachelor degree in business or related field.
5-7 years merchandising and/or marketing experience in a online retail environment
Experience in retail buying, outdoor product merchandising, and retail promotion strongly preferred.
Intuitive understanding of merchandise assortment strategies
Strong analytical and planning skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Able to work well with cross-functional team members
Flexible with demonstrated propensity for initiative
Detail-oriented and accurate with excellent follow-through, while working in a fast-paced environment
Able to manage multiple competing tasks and meet deadlines
High degree of judgment and independent thinking required
