  • Manage growing team of both local and remote community development associates
  • Provide direction and training for all team members to include management skills and growth plan
  • Work with the Program Management team to establish the community development and content creation strategy across all verticals
  • Ensure Community Development team support for Marketing, Sales and Program Management
  • Coordinate with internal teams to support their respective missions, ensuring consistency in voice and cultivating a strong community around the brand
  • Manage team responsible for a schedule of content programs, events and competitions for the site’s communities to engage with, and lead them into contributing high quality submissions across the entire suite of tools available
  • Work with the Product Development team to ensure the community platform is kept up to date and functional, including, but not limited to, working to collate user feedback
  • Establish and monitor effective benchmarks for measuring the growth of the community, and analyze, review, and report on effectiveness of new initiatives
  • Work with WIkia’s international and localization teams to establish scalable, long term localization processes
  • Regularly highlight insights gained from community monitoring to the Marketing and Sales teams, to help them evolve their strategies
Desired Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience successfully navigating online community dynamics
  • Process management experience - (Wikia is highly collaborative and process must be rigid enough to get things done but flexible enough to allow for creativity and a changing landscape)
  • Experience working with global teams
  • Experience running community level engagement programs (online giveaways, live chat, meet-ups)
  • Affinity for gaming, entertainment and general lifestyle topics; youth-oriented markets
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Hands-on and highly organized by nature
  • Experience managing large, remote teams a bonus
