Description of duties and responsibilities:
This position is responsible for development and implementation of compensation strategies for MSA globally. Specific duties include but are not limited to:
· Design compensation, rewards and recognition strategies through:
o The development of base pay structures, incentive plans designs and development of Job Families and Career Ladders
o Administration and calculation of incentive awards
o Participation in surveys and reviewing job evaluations
o Conducting market base analyses and strategic development
o Rewarding high performers and linking engagement and accountability
· Global process design and strategy alignment via:
o Designing and establishing costs of plan provisions and programs, specifically wages and bonus structure
o Guidance to salaried wages and limited oversight to hourly pay rates
o Launching strategies global and regional compensation plans
o Making decisions regarding changes in compensation philosophy which includes communications and training to various global locations
o Strong alignment to performance based processes required as well as the need to drive a high performance culture
· Prepare Executive Compensation materials for Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors. Attend meetings, calculate cash and equity awards and prepare annual proxy disclosures
· Manage departmental staff including coordination of work scheduled and performed, giving feedback and managing performance, and providing ongoing coaching and guidance as needed. This also includes attending leadership development classes
· Ensure compliance by staying abreast of changes in laws and regulations affecting compensation. Work with external consultants and attorneys to develop action plans and documents
· Work with integration and workforce planning teams on due diligence, employee communications and preparing required documentation to support mergers, acquisitions and divestitures
· Keep abreast of developments and trends in the Compensation Arena through reading; attending professional meetings, web casts, conferences, symposiums and classes; and conferring with consultants and attorneys

Education and experience required:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or related discipline
· 8+ years Compensation plan design including variable compensation plans necessary to succeed in this position.
Preferred:
· Budget and personnel management
· SPHR / CEBS / CCP
· Experience with executive compensation and global remuneration preferred
