Assists in formulating Information Technology policy, plans, budgets, standards and procedures within approved overall company goals.
Oversees daily operation and maintenance of a 24X7 computer system environment.
Responsible for providing service to users, user departments, resolving user problems and providing instruction and training to users to ensure maximum customer satisfaction.
Ability to interface with all departments, other IT staff and outside vendors.
Personnel management responsibilities include recruiting, coaching, performance management, career development, and allocation and prioritization of work of the IT Operations staff.
Works closely with the Director of Network and Systems on disaster recovery planning and testing, capacity planning, software licensing, monitoring and tuning performance, ensuring integrity of backups, preventative maintenance and maximizing system availability.
Performs other related duties as instructed.
GAMING INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE IS PREFERRED
College degree in information systems or compensating industry experience required.
Minimum five (5) years in depth experience in the 24X7 operations management of critical systems and infrastructure in an AS/400 environment.
Exposure to command language programing.
Must have experience working directly with customers in understanding business needs.
Demonstrated ability to attract, retain, motivate and lead a team of skilled IT professionals.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
Previous experience in casino/hotel environment preferred.
