peerTransfer is seeking a Director of Consumer Marketing to join our fast growing team.
This person will be responsible for developing a strong and engaging consumer brand for our target market that will drive all online and offline messaging and channels. In addition, you will be responsible for driving awareness, acquisition, conversion and retention of students in a data driven, analytical manner.
You will work closely with web and design resources to create the next generation of peerTransfer’s consumer brand, starting with the website and moving to all channels (offline collateral, on-campus & trade show events, etc). This consumer brand strategy should permeate through all consumer marketing channels to support, adoption, engagement and retention. You will also:
Define creative brand direction
Work with user experience, web and design teams to put creative concepts into action and make sure product reflects brand positioning. Initiatives might include: brand re-positioning, web redesign, video, email marketing campaigns, direct marketing and/or print materials efforts.
Partner with product and engineering teams to improve user experience and develop new features. Become the brand evangelist and act as the voice of the student across the peerTransfer organization
Lead consumer acquisition, analytically drive conversion through the funnel, engagements and messaging for retention - encompassing online marketing, direct marketing, CRM, email marketing, online/offline promotions and related efforts
Refine existing metrics to improve tracking and analysis of user activity, adoption and loyalty
Work closely with senior executive team to review program plans and results
Your Profile
Do you wake up in the middle of the night thinking on how to bring customers to the top of the funnel, and convert and further engage with them, while creating an enduring and emotionally connected brand? If so, you are a great fit!
The ideal candidate is a proven leader with strong consumer web business and marketing experience. He/she must be a strong team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills. The position requires creative thought with focused, efficient execution. Positive, driven, can-do attitude a must!
We would also love if you have :
A bachelor’s degree and preferably at least 5+ years of consumer marketing for a web-based brand
Hands–on experience building and growing a consumer brand presence is a must, including the ability to create tactical messaging and copy and defining value propositions that resonate with our market
A track record of understanding user behavior and insights and ability to drive changes across the organization based on strong analytical research and methodology
Knowledge of direct response marketing, segmentation, testing and measurement techniques
A proven ability to increase conversion and response rates through testing messages, channel mix and conversion flow.
Ability to analyze customer data and develop customer segmentation models
Strong experience leveraging social media (Facebook, Twitter, blogs, YouTube) and other web technologies
Fast learner who is flexible to change and is driven by results
