We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated communication professional to drive and deliver our external and internal communication strategies for the US market. The Head of Corporate Communications (US) will be responsible for maintaining the company’s tone of voice and thought leadership, and building favorable perception among traditional and new media. Based in the San Francisco bay area, you will report to the Head of Global Communications in Hong Kong. This is a new position, with great potential for personal growth and challenges that sharpen your professional skills.
Lead the development and implementation of the company’s communications strategy for the US market, and work closely with leading public relations agencies
Write and oversee the development of key messages to deliver the company’s value proposition to the media and other key stakeholders
Establish the company as a leading player in global Internet space, and leverage exposure to support product marketing campaigns
Identify and monitor issues relevant to company operations and manage relationship with key stakeholders
Develop and implement a crisis communications plan when needed
Support senior executives in the US on thought leadership
Support headquarters to develop and deliver corporate-level key messages relating to strategic partnerships, M&A transactions, etc
Be the spokesperson for the company
Some domestic and international travel required
Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Journalism, or a related discipline
Minimum 10 years’ experience in corporate communications, preferably with transnational companies and/or large PR firms and at least 5 years in managing role
Previous experience in Internet, Media, Consumer or Technology companies
Proven track record of successfully developing communications strategies and implementing communication plans
Significant experience in media relations and issues/crisis management, spokesperson training
Strong oral communication and writing skills
Self-motivated, strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, able to perform under pressure
Can work independently, but can also a team player
