The Director of Corporate Development will report directly to the Vice President of Corporate Development. The VP of Corporate Development reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer.
The Director of Corporate Development is a position for career-minded and goal-oriented individuals to experience an entrepreneurial, values-driven culture within a rapidly growing business driven by societal and educational trends. The Director of Corporate Development will develop a go to market strategy for the corporate/employer market and will be ultimately, through his/her team, be responsible for identifying, developing and nurturing channels that allow the promotion of professional development programs and continuing education to employers and their employees. He/she will be responsible for developing a national team of representatives who will represent Deltak’s partners in both B-to-B and B-to-C efforts.
Additional responsibilities include:
Effectively manage the performance and career development of a sales team
Maintain a sales management system that monitors daily, weekly and monthly activity levels of all team members
Develop and maintain a disciplined sales process
Maintain market awareness by actively monitoring community and industry news; share pertinent information with management to ensure departmental consistencies and organizational growth. Leverage developed relationships to build a network with corporate strategic partners
Bachelor’s degree in business or related discipline is required
Minimum of seven years demonstrated experience with intangible product sales, with high consideration given to those with prior corporate training and/or educational sales experience
Minimum of 3 years managing an outside sales team, including employees working remotely
Ability to travel >50% of the time and as necessary to effectively manage the business
Ability to work a flexible schedule including evening and occasional weekend hours
Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
Entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to prioritize and work with limited direction
Excellent organization and time management skills
Ability to think strategically and critically to create processes and provide input for growth
Ability to work effectively with internal departments and a diverse group of people
Must be proficient in MS Office Suite, with an emphasis on Outlook, Word and Excel
