This position is responsible for the administration, coordination and planning of the Early Head Start grantee and Head Start educational programs. Ensures full compliance with OPF, NAEYC, CPS, DCFS and Federal Head Start Performance Standards, providing direction to staff in the education content area. Provides direct supervision to designated site managers and supervising/direct service staff. Monitors compliance and program quality and provides staff training and technical assistance as required. Part of Metro leadership team, works collaboratively with VP and other content area Directors to achieve school readiness goals.
BA, ECE, Social Services or related field: Preferred enhancing credentials (one or more): CLASS reliable observer IT and/or PreK, Teaching Strategies GOLD Inter-Rater Reliable Certification 0-5. Infant-Toddler Credential, Type 04. Familiarity with PATS, Learning Games, Reggio Emilia. MA, ECE or related area preferred.
