JOB SUMMARY: The Director of Educational Partnerships is responsible for expanding our business in K-12 schools and districts within a specified geographic area. The Princeton Review is using its vast resources in skills building, test preparation, college research and admissions counseling to create college cultures in schools all over the U.S. Our service offerings span from online instructional courseware to semester-long instructor-led courses. Providing services to large K-12 districts represents one of The Princeton Review’s fastest growth areas, and we are continuing to expand our sales force to serve large districts and foundations.

The Company also partners with schools and guidance counselors worldwide to provide students with college readiness, test preparation and career planning services.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Drive sales through creativity and passion while leveraging existing relationships and building a pipeline of new prospects
  • Plan and manage Institutional College Readiness sales activity according to an agreed market development strategy including client management, sales presentations, and contracting processes.
  • Manage multiple channel selling strategies to meet and/or exceed quarterly and annual sales quotas
  • Accurately and effectively manage and report on pipeline, status of the business, and forecast revenue to the VP of Sales
  • Create responses to RFP’s that are a key driver of the business and ensure a professional and solution-focused approach is consistently delivered to prospective clients while adhering to set pricing and margins consistent with corporate profit guidelines
  • Leverage sales efforts with Field Operations, Marketing, Product and other departments to create viable and appropriately priced products for the K-12 marketplace.
  • Keep abreast of educational developments at the federal and state levels through regular
  • reading of industry trades and discussions with clients and industry pundits
  • Attend trade shows and conferences for relationship building and public speaking
  • Significant travel is required regionally
  • QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 2 years successful experience selling in the K12 space with proven results. Preferably in the office’s geographic area.
  • Knowledge of K-12 curriculum and existing relationships with key decision makers throughout the assigned territory
  • Solid client services experience with ability to effectively handle school district personnel
  • Strong communication, presentation and closing skills.
  • Ability to prepare, interpret and present sales reports and market data.
  • Familiarity with sales tools and systems, to update relevant information held in the sales database systems.
