Provide strategic leadership for engineering team to build long-term business plan including executing engineering vision, strategies, objectives and metrics
  • Translate high-level engineering goals and strategies into the work
  • Align and manage appropriate resources to execute team activities toward achieving short- and long-term objectives
  • Lead capital planning and capital plan execution to maximize ROI and assure on-going scheduled asset maintenance at all locations
  • Work with team to create or acquire new technical approaches and capabilities to advance technologies within the organization
  • Apply and transfer new technologies and best practices across the network as appropriate
  • Coach engineering team including hiring and training members, planning and directing project work, performance reviews, etc.
  • Provide technical development of Plant Engineers and Maintenance Managers
  • Establish and maintain disciplined processes and systems for building/equipment specifications, asset tracking, preventative maintenance and regulatory requirements
  • Ensure established company and government procedures and standards are adhered to

  • Qualifications:
    • BS in traditional engineering field; Master’s degree preferred in either engineering or business
    • 10 years demonstrated successful performance in managing engineering teams in a CPG manufacturing facility
    • Experience in operations leadership, food or USDA-regulated facility a plus
    • Thorough understanding of refrigeration systems, plant utility systems, processing and packaging
    • 7-10 years coaching experience including the ability/experience in developing those around you to higher levels of responsibility
    • Knowledge and ability to innovate new and emerging technologies into manageable and practical applications
    • Demonstrated ability to manage projects in a team environment
    • Strong communication, negotiation and presentation (oral, written and listening) skills
    • Solid financial background with an ability to understand and coach others on the financial justification process and development of IRR
