The Director of Enterprise Applications will partner with Executive and Director-level professionals across the organization while defining and implementing an IT vision and roadmap for all of our client’s Enterprise Applications (CRM, POS, Finance, etc.). As the Director of Enterprise Applications, you will bring expertise with large-scale, highly available enterprise software systems and the ability to provide technical guidance to a team of highly talented engineers. You will be able to hold your own in technical discussions, be a subject matter expert, and have strategic influence. You will manage smart, opinionated technical engineers and help them grow professionally. This role will involve working closely with tech leads, senior engineers, product owners, support engineers and directly with your users to scope, implement, and develop quality software products for our client.

This community forms the backbone of the company, plays a critical role in the broad business planning, working closely with senior executives to develop business targets and resource requirements, influences our long-term technical and business strategy, helps us hire a talented team of engineers and ultimately enables us to deliver innovative new solutions rapidly.
This is a full-time role based at our Union Square Headquarters in NYC. This position will report to the VP of Technology Solutions.
Provides senior leadership for all supporting functions of the Enterprise Applications team
Serves as the key technical executive interface between IT and all business functions dependent on Enterprise Applications
Drives the establishment and monitoring of all system and performance metrics for each competency area to support a culture of continuous improvement and maturity
Ability to execute multiple large scale system replacement / upgrade projects in parallel
Experience working large third party system integrators (COTS) to implement large, complex systems with many integration points
Work closely with business teams, PMO, Infrastructure & Operations, and Enterprise Architecture teams responsible for the technical delivery of solutions associated with the Equinox systems agenda, as well as marshaling and organizing all IT technical talent and vendors
Break down larger projects into work units, effectively delegating tasks and tracking project status
Serve as “hands-on” escalation point to identify and suggest approaches to resolve project issues
Works closely with internal business clients to map and support their operational needs
Provides expertise around the realization of business requests and technical design specifications
Responsible for developing, distributing, supporting, enforcing, and integrating best practices and technology standards across the organization
BS degree in CS, engineering, or related field preferred, MBA/MS degree a plus
7+ years’ experience implementing and supporting complex enterprise software packages (CRM, POS, ERP, HRIS, etc.)
Proven expertise in software technical design, planning, project management, implementation and support for a variety of Enterprise Applications Solutions
Experience managing a global team, consisting of senior level management staff and IT team members, including team member engagement, employee development, performance management, and workforce planning
Client-minded - strong communication and problem solving skills
Experience in the Retail, Hospitality, or Consumer goods industries a plus
