Director of Environmental Services is responsible for administration and organization of Environmental Services Department. Director follows federal, state and local standards to assure the highest degree of cleanliness and care for patients, staff and other guests. Ensures the highest quality of care, service, customer satisfaction and compliance will all JCAHO guidelines. Services as official Hazmat Coordinator for the hospital and follows all regulations regarding hazardous materials. Regularly meets with department directors to ensure quality standards are being met in all areas of hospital. Must be able to motivate, train, and coach a large and diverse staff.
B.S. degree in management or related field preferred.
NEHA certification preferred.
Minimum five years experience in management/supervision preferred; preferably in an acute-care hospital setting.
Must be able to communicate with all levels of staff, including administration. Must exhibit strong skills in both oral and written communication. Must exhibit high energy and motivation to in turn motivate staff. Must be very well organized.
Must be experienced with Labor Management Software.
