Director of Facility Sales

The Apollo Theater is currently seeking a Director of Facility Sales to increase revenue by securing new and maintaining existing venue rental clients, and driving concession sales, merchandise and license agreements.

Work with GM and marketing department to design and implement a sales strategy/action plan with annual budget required to increase revenue in facility sales, concessions, merchandise and brand licensing Outreach and meet with concert promoters, corporations, not-for-profit organizations and film and television producers to secure their rental of the Theaters performance and production space Represent and promote organization at trade and sales activities; travel outside the office as required to scout and/or solicit new sales for the Theater Provide regular revenue projections to GM and COO Work closely with Director of Production, Director of Theater Operations and various department heads to ensure clients technical and overall needs are satisfied Create and ensure accuracy of event settlement reports Ensure accuracy of Ticketmaster set-up for rental clients Provide estimate of expenses and contracts for use of space upon request Solicit deposits, payments, contracts and insurance from all ATF renters

Excellent phone/interpersonal skills Excellent writing/editing skills Minimum of 5 years professional management experience with theater, concert, television or film production Minimum of 5 years budgeting experience in entertainment Strong organizational skills Ability to multi-task Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access, Outlook and Word Dedication to personal and departmental improvement Bachelors degree in Theater Administration, Business Administration, Marketing or comparable experience
