Job Summary:

If so, you might have what we need for our Director of Finance position.

The Director of Finance will provide guidance and support to the Executive and Senior Leadership teams. The role requires deep understanding of The Clymb's business model and underlying drivers as well as expert business acumen. The opportunity includes evaluating complex financial and operational information and translating it into financial models informing business decisions. Working across multiple departments and levels is part of the job, and partnering with department leaders and executives to forecast company performance will be a regular occurrence. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can work well both autonomously and under the direction of the CFO and executive team. The role requires a candidate who thrives in a rapidly growing, fast-paced and constantly changing environment.

Provide strategic financial analysis and guidance to Finance and Executive team to drive key business decisions.
Structure and maintain complex financial models, continually upgrading them to more accurately reflect and project company performance based on a deep understanding of how the company works.
Interpret complex financial information from multiple divisions and lines of business for use in building models for decision-making and predicting financial outcomes.
Within forecast, drive updates to incorporate multiple business units and accommodate the needs of a constantly changing and growing company.
Design and build additional models to forecast company growth and performance and evaluate new opportunities, projects and business decisions based on ROI.
Create compelling presentations based on underlying financial data and analysis for distribution to Executive Team, Board of Directors, and Investors.
Provide to Executive team recommendations on business decisions based on industry knowledge, business acumen, and financial models.
Own the budgeting process. Work with all departments to develop budgets that help achieve corporate and departmental goals. Make it easy for department heads to engage in and be productive in the budgeting process.
Assist company in developing KPIs at corporate and departmental levels.
Present to stakeholders financial information in formats that are easy to understand.
Benchmark company's performance against comparables; maintain database of industry and competitor financial and operational metrics/performance.
Establish and maintain strong business partnerships and cross-functional relationships to provide decision support. Partner with others on financial analysis, business metrics, financial reporting, special projects, and new business opportunities.
Forecast and monitor performance against established targets.
Assist with due diligence and analysis for equity and debt providers.
Initiate continual process improvement efforts to enhance timeliness and accuracy.
Build scalable financial systems and staffing.
Perform ad-hoc reporting and analysis and other projects as needed.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or similar field with commensurate experience.
Minimum 7 years' experience in Accounting or Finance.
Strong understanding of budgeting and forecasting process.
Experience presenting financial information and providing decision support to C-level staff.
Extremely strong written and verbal communication and presentations skills.
Demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills and the ability to creatively solve problems.
Expert modeling skills.
Results- and metrics-driven with ability to work cross-functionally, on teams, and independently to meet deadlines and requirements.
Thrive in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities and competing demands for time and resources.
Experience growing a team in size and complexity.
Bias toward finding solutions vs. shutting down ideas.
Ability to relate to The Clymb's products and the Northwest outdoor lifestyle.

Desired Qualifications
Ownership of business unit or company budgeting and forecasting process.
Experience supporting executive level teams in a Finance function.
Systems implementation or design experience.
Advanced degree or qualification such as MBA, CPA or CFA.
Experience with Netsuite, SAP, or similar software package.
Experience in start-up or high-growth environment.
Experience building teams and creating and documenting processes.
