Develop and execute strategies for Financial and HR systems at Carter’s
Manage and execute projects related to Financial and Human Resource systems supported
Oversee day-to-day operations related to Financial and HR systems
Responsible for developing, modifying, and executing month-, quarter-, and year-end close and budget load procedures for applicable systems
Select and manage required software vendors and service providers for Financial and HR systems and solutions
Lead major project implementation through appropriate use of project management skills and Project Lifecycle methodology
Provide thoughts leadership, employ industry best practices for use of technology and processes surrounding financial and HR-related systems
Collaborate with Finance, HR and IT leadership to create effective strategies and solutions for Financial Management, Accounting functions, and HR functions
Develop and execute strategies with business and IT partners for EDI or appropriate data exchange protocols and methods with outside parties, including vendors, customers, and banking and financial institutions
Identifying and staffing the right team (direct and indirect) with the right skills, situating them to leverage available skills across projects and business units
Leverage Financial and HR Systems capabilities globally; working with international subsidiaries and affiliates to ensure proper development, deployment, and use of technology across the Enterprise
Monitor, manages, communicates and reports issue resolution to user community appropriately
Participate in Information Technology Leadership Team activities, including IT portfolio planning, resource planning, IT strategy, budgeting, communications planning
Ensure Financial and HR Systems policies and procedures are in place to ensure compliance with internal, legal and regulatory requirements
Employ applicable SOX controls for portfolio of systems, including security and access controls and applicable business process controls
Provide appropriate reporting and business intelligence tools for executive and user community use
Supervise business analyst(s)
Communicate and negotiate with vendors
Communicate with external auditors
Attend continued professional education courses
Collaborate on integration strategies for Financial and HR systems with IT Development team
Some travel required, approximately 10%, to Carter’s offices, vendor locations, conferences, etc.
Availability for off-hour issue resolution may be required
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Accounting, or related discipline
10+ years of experience in IT/Finance Systems, with 5+ years of experience in management of Financial Systems
Experience in leading ERP system implementation and deployment projects with depth of experience in global applications delivery and support management
Requires in-depth knowledge of a major ERP financial system platform (e.g. Oracle E-Business, Peoplesoft, SAP) and its modules (A/P, A/R, G/L, PO, F/A)
Ability to quickly understand legacy financial systems and processes
Knowledge of Infor Masterpiece SSA preferred, but not required
Knowledge of Hyperion EPM Essbase highly preferred, but not required
Knowledge of Concur Travel & Expense, Silk Road Red Carpet, SuccessFactors preferred, but not required
Ability to configure and architect Financial systems
Proven project management skills and leadership
Strong change management orientation and experience
Knowledge and experience in gathering requirements, functional design, and working with business processes
Strong analytical, problem solving and conceptual skills
Strong technical skills to translate business requirements into specifications
Ability to analyze high level business needs and develop innovative and cost effective solutions
Self-motivated, organized, and effectively achieves team and group goals.
Ability to work effectively across the organization, effectively soliciting full cooperation and being accepted by business partners as a trusted advisor
Strong communication skills, including an ability to listen to the needs of business partners, articulate issues in a clear and concise manner, and document findings as well as recommendations in both oral and written presentations.
Able to successfully handle multiple priorities and assignments with varying complexity.
Strong computer skills with proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, MS Visio and the general architecture of web and Windows solutions.
