Director of Food Service
Direct and manage district’s food service programs.
Develop menus that meet established nutritional requirements for students.
Prepare the food service department’s annual budget.
Establish and direct process of providing free and reduced lunch applications following United States Department of Agriculture and Texas Education Agency guidelines for meal eligibility and reimbursement of federal funds.
Supervise annual, monthly, and/or weekly specifications bids on food and supplies.
Inspect school lunch facilities and operations to insure that standards of diet, cleanliness, health and safety are being maintained.
Maintain safety standards that confirm with federal, state, and insurance regulations and develop a program of preventive safety.
Recruit, train, and supervise personnel and make sound recommendations about personnel placement, transfer, retention, and dismissal.
Attend job-related professional development session.
Bachelor's degree - preferred or hight from an accredited college or university with at least five years experience in food service management
