What You Will Do: You will be afforded the opportunity to use your expertise To
ensure customer satisfaction with the installation and service of
Spectranetics’ capital products; and to ensure compliance with FDA, T&V
and Underwriters Laboratory requirements and guidelines with respect to Field
Service policies, procedures, and management of customer installed base.

What Success Looks Like: You will have the opportunity to provide career growing
Responsible for the total management of domestic capital, operating and
expense budgets from the planning stages to final budget approval.
Assist the Marketing and Sales departments with distributor management and
overall operations within the Asian pacific rim.
Ensure proper administration of all Field Service operations, including
short and long term policy development and manpower planning.
Maintain communication and peer interaction with other top management within
Spectranetics to ensure coordination between departments and the development and
improvement of all product lines.
Identify, develop, and implement goals for all functional areas within the
department; refine goals through management interaction; monitor progress to
ensure overall objectives are met.
Follow up on highly sensitive situations involving critical account problems
to ensure overall satisfaction with company product; initiating authority for
system returns and replacements.
Direct the implementation of service agreements and non-warranty programs,
parts return and other forms of revenue production.
Interface with Corporate Legal Department on the evaluation of all pending
sales and service agreement changes that will impact Field Service operations.
Responsible for the continuing development of all employees, including
identification of long-range utilization of key employees, performance

Ensures personnel adhere to internal procedures and regulatory requirements
Provide marketing support through the development and preparation of
technical documentation, orientation and training of perspective customers,

customer case support.
Assist Marketing and Sales departments with the development of sales
programs, preparation of tender offers and writing legal documents such as the
International Distributorship Agreements and Service Agreements. Assist and
monitor all company Distributors to ensure that the proper level and quality of
technical support and service is provided to customers.

technical procedures & documentation, staffing requirements, part inventory,

(hiring, training, disciplining, promoting, mentoring, replacing, etc.)

Material and Equipment Directly Used:
Laptops and Computers, Air cards, Blackberry Communication Devices, Fax, Print
and Copy equipment, Crystal Reports, dBase, Notes, Smart Client Applications,
Smart Copy Applications and Microsoft Office Products as well as other various
programs and office equipment as required.
A bachelor’s degree in a technical field or experience gained equivalent
to completion of a four year college degree program is required. An advanced
degree is preferred (MBA or MS).
A minimum of ten years of experience developing policies, procedures and
personnel supervision as well as six years of direct management at a regional or
national level is required. Special knowledge of surgical laser systems,
clinical instrumentation, biomedical engineering or complex electro-mechanical
instrumentation is strongly desired.
Individual filling this position must be able to travel both Domestically and
Internationally as needed (< 25%).
