DESCRIPTION

LifeWorks is looking for a Director of Grants & Contracts who can jump in quickly and take a leadership role in establishing the Grants & Contracts Department and team. The Director will work with team to streamline and centralize G&C processes, keep track of all the varying contract requirements, and locate and procure funding opportunities.

DUTIES

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
  • Manages the Department of Grants and Contracts, including staff hiring and supervision, budget oversight, and development and implementation of G&C Department procedures.
  • Coordinates research of funding opportunities and the preparation, review and submission of proposals.
  • Oversees the development of pre-award budgets and post-award fiscal management for public funding.
  • Interprets and communicates grant and contract regulations and guidelines and coordinates execution of duties with staff.
  • Assists program managers in grants/contracts maintenance activities including account set-up, monitoring budget and expenditures, budget revision and close-out of accounts.
  • Develops and maintains subcontracts as needed.
  • Coordinates communication between stakeholders throughout grant cycle to ensure quality and accountability.
  • Works with program managers and Finance department to ensure the timely and accurate submission of required reports.
  • Coordinates with appropriate staff to ensure that information and documentation is provided as requested during contract audits and appropriate action is taken in response to audit findings.
  • Participates in long and short-term planning of Department goals and objectives.
  • Participates in OMT and SMT+, including presentation of monthly Grants Reports.
QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED
  • Bachelor's degree in social or behavioral sciences, human resources, human services, business or related administrative field; and
  • 7+ years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
PREFERRED
Experience in grant writing and securing funding in non-profit area (social or behavioral sciences) or business. Knowledge of foundation and philanthropic resources.
