The Director of Human Resources serves as a strategic partner to management by integrating HR strategies into the company's overal mission and operational strategy. Plans, directs and reviews the centralized Human Resources services and functions.

Ongoing Job Responsibilities:

-Broad knowledge and experience in employment law, benefits administration, organizational planning and development, employee relations, safety, training and employee development.
-Strategic thinker as it relates to development and monitoring of the Employee Development Plan and Training, and in using technology to improve efficiency and services to employees.
-Demonstrated tendencies to support em;ployees regarding employee relations issues. Superior interpersonal and coaching skills including patience and ability to work well with all employees.
-Demonstrated ability to, and comfortable with, interacting with a broad range of employee background and skills (from shop floor to executive office.)
-Highly developed, demonstrated teamwork skills.
-"Hands On" management style, but comfortable delegating when resources are available. Experience managing small teams as well as contributing individually.
-Good analytical skills - experience analyzing costs and cost drivers.
-Ability to gain trust and respect. Demonstrates a high degree of confidentiality and common sense.
-Provides project management for strategic initiatives with the Human Resources Department.
-Ensures fiscal resources are managed efficiently.
-Manages compliance with labor laws.

Direct Reports: 6 direct; 14 total employees

Requirements and Preferences:
-10 years experience in Human Resources with 3 years in a management capacity.
-Experience with Labor Relations, Safety and Security.
-Ability and experience in sourcing, recruting, and interviewing employees.
-Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as interpersonal and coaching skills.
-Must be highly organized and able to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
-Experience using HRIS, time and attendance and other HR systems. SAP preferred.
-Bachelor's degree in Business or Human Resources required. Master's preferred.
