The IT Director is the single point of contact and accountability for all IT services provided to an entire business portfolio. The Director is responsible for business satisfaction with all IT services and support.
Oversight of several teams of associates providing long and short-term team goals
Managing 3rd party contract resources supporting day to day operational support
Managing all aspects of batch production control, scheduling and SLA's
Managing Large Systems (Mainframe and Teradata) operations
Managing Incident, Problem, and Change functions for the corporation
Responsible for Shared Services Operations including MQ, ETL, Grid, etc"'
Responsible for several operations projects including Operations Transition, ITIL Operational Improvements, LSITO Healthchecks, TWS Subversion, and multiple RTS budgets.
Management of the Teradata Managed Services contract
Responsible for the oversight and delivery of timely restoration of service for technical interruptions.
Must support all key ITIL disciplines and processes.
Excellent coach and mentor to entire team.
Acts as a Change Agent and drives for continuous process improvement.
Must have a high degree of technical knowledge to understand the environment and provide Management updates when needed.
Must be a proponent and able to show progress toward a continuous improvement program while maintaining 100% compliance with quality and legal standards (SOX, PCI, etc).
Establish and maintain good relationships within IT, the business, suppliers and community.
Collaborates with other teams and customers to improve service and increase value of Data Center Services.
Reports to Management on service interruptions and impact to Customer Base.

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES -
Ensure business-IT strategic alignment

Manage business relationships and monitor status of business

Manage and coordinate strategic activities for staff

Develop IT plans in support of specific business objectives

Define requirements and design for IT projects in support of key business objectives

Manage IT customer service issues for business unit

NATURE AND SCOPE -
Typically reports to V.P. Information Technology

Accountable for the management of a department or functional group through subordinate supervisors/managers and for all personnel issues -- including selection, termination, performance appraisal and professional development of subordinates.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

EDUCATION REQUIRED -
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

YEARS OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE - 15

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS -
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS -
Over 3 years experience in a director or Sr. leadership capacity

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS -
Requires 10+ years of experience as a proven leader in Data Center Operations in a large, enterprise environment.
Bachelor's degree in related field.
Experienced with Data Center automation, service monitoring and supporting capabilities that enhance problem determination, root cause analysis and rapid problem resolution.
Must be knowledgeable on complex networks, open systems, data warehouse and mainframe computing services.
Thorough understanding of ITIL; Incident, Problem, Change and Configuration Management principles and able to apply best practices.
Previous retail experience desired.
Must have experience leading and managing transition.
Must demonstrate strategic thinking skills and maturity in tackling complex problems, dealing with both technical & human process.
Requires a proven track record in leading technical teams to resolve critical issues under tight timelines.
Strong interpersonal skills and two-way communications (oral and written), ability to build relationships, influence others, and obtain results through others.
Must be able to effectively influence and communicate to Sr. IT and Business Management in setting strategy, priorities and increased value of Data Center Services.
Proven track record of strategic leadership, organizational transformation.
Ability to motivate and mentor others.
Solid understanding of Data Center infrastructure architecture. Including power & cooling management, capacity planning and electrical engineering.
Demonstrates a high level of energy, results driven and able to work under pressure with tight deadlines.
Experienced leading major Data Center related projects.
