The Job:
We’re looking for someone who is smart and energetic to lead the development of a unique and world-class corporate training platform. The Director of Training & Development will report to the Chief People Officer and be in charge of building a dedicated department to serve both the vocational training and professional development needs of a smart, ambitious and growing workforce.

The Work:
Collaborate with department leads to identify skill gaps across the organization and design unique training/development solutions
Oversee development of Tough Mudder University, including company-wide and departmental specific training programs
Lead growth of top-tier Events Training program to scale our rapid expansion
Institute effective management and executive leadership training to ensure a smooth path for internally promoted employees into management roles and continued development for existing managers
Support staff in identifying individual development opportunities and create plans that include appropriate internal and external resource
Oversee the development and implementation of a cohesive quarterly onboarding process for new hires
Serve as a key leader in promoting and maintaining Tough Mudder’s unique culture and values
Manage the Training & Development team’s annual work plans and budgets
Analyze and report key metrics to senior leadership team including those relating to on-boarding, professional development and organizational culture

The Experience:
BA/BS degree with strong academic record (degree in organizational development, education or the equivalent a plus)
7-10 years of experience leading the development and delivery of training programs (not necessarily corporate in nature)
Core knowledge of training/development principles, theories and concepts
Track record of developing creative and innovative resolutions to training and development opportunities
Demonstrated ability to develop customized learning content for broad audiences
Technical fluency in relevant IT and other systems as needed
