The Director of BD leads all sales efforts for assigned accounts, including market research, account sizing, & lead targeting, account planning, pipeline management, contracting, and reporting to senior management. In addition, the Director of BD maintains key internal relationships with Client Services, Operations, IT, Product Development, Legal, Finance, and Marketing to ensure focus on client needs and support ongoing account growth.

Job Responsibilities:
Delivering on quarterly and annual quotas within assigned accounts.

Develop territory account plans, including prospect identification and database creation, on behalf of the company.

Conducting market research, account sizing and lead targeting efforts, and using the information to guide account planning activities.

Determine client business strategies to maximize territory sales volume, including frequency of personal visits to client, direct mail efforts, and telephone contact.

Responsible for prospecting and establishing new client relationships.

Manages client communication during all phases of pre-sale and post-sales process. Responsible for maintaining accurate account records on behalf of the company, including contact information and activity reports for distribution to management.

Communicating with Client Services, Operations, Legal and Finance staff to validate client needs are well understood and milestones, scope, deliverables and budgets are well managed.

Day to day account management responsibilities including training on Medivo services, pricing and proposal development, pipeline management within at all stages of the sales cycle, being available for key client meetings, ensuring Medivo staff are focused on client needs.

Provide executive team updates each week on progress towards goals, critical needs from other internal groups, and access to all ongoing sales pipeline activity, proposals and contracts

Use Google Documents/email/Calendar, Webex, Powerpoint, Excel to manage daily internal and external workflow, communications, & reporting

Ability to establish account plans, engage in positive internal stakeholder collaborations, and deliver on the sales goals while managing client expectations

Ability to articulate value of new services and highlight the “bright lines” of healthcare regulation & compliance in the new telehealth landscape, and simultaneously solicit input from and listen closely to hear clients’ needs to help Medivo develop unique products & services

High level of communication skills to manage internal and external expectations of the delivery of our high-value, new-channel healthcare services

Track record of personal relationship building and selling into pharmaceutical brand teams with strategic services that aren’t offered by agencies of record

Education and Experience:
Minimum Bachelor’s degree, preferably graduate degree in business

3-5 year successful track record of selling services to drug and device manufacturers.

Demonstrable client deal-making experience and life sciences contacts.
