Director of Marketing

The Director of Marketing will be based in our San Francisco office and will own all external communication channels. Over the past year we have rebranded our company and are now updating our messaging and website to reflect advances in our technology platform. The Director of Marketing will be responsible for distributing this new message across all mediums, including our website, blog, trade shows, social media and two annual conferences. This position will also be responsible for managing our external PR team and all speaking engagements.

This position reports to the Chief Marketing Officer and will work closely with the Director of Product Marketing to support larger corporate marketing efforts, such as market research, strategic analysis, and sales support. The ideal candidate has experience managing corporate websites, PR, user conferences and trade shows, as well as experience managing teams and budgets. The candidate’s specific title will be based on experience and performance since there is ample opportunity to take on additional responsibilities within both the Marketing team and the larger organization.

Job Responsibilities

Own corporate website and blog
Own corporate participation in social media channels such as Facebook and Twitter
Own all presentation material and assist sales team as needed
Manage executive speaking engagements
Manage corporate sponsorship of trade shows and conferences around the world
Organize two annual conferences (sales and user)
Create brand guide and enforce brand policy across organization
Manage external PR team for press releases and media interviews
Manage external creative agencies and video production companies

Job Requirements

3-6 years of post-MBA experience (or equivalent job skills) in marketing, preferably with online travel, B2B SaaS, or B2B internet companies
Experience creating and managing corporate websites and/or blogs
Experience organizing user conferences and trade shows
Strong communication and presentation skills
Understanding of SaaS B2B2C business models, cloud computing and general ecommerce
Experience managing creative agencies and supporting direct sales teams is a plus
